BOX 3:  Postsecondary-Ready Competencies

This shows you the options for meeting Indiana's third requirement in order to graduate.  You must meet ONE requirement from ANY of the categories listed below.

CTE Concentrators

CLUSTERS, PATHWAYS, CONCENTRATORS

  • Earn a C- average or above in the CTE Concentrator courses

  • These courses are listed in yellow on the pathway plans

  • To find your pathway, start by picking a career cluster

  • (Click here to see all Clusters at the WACC)

  • CAREER CLUSTERS are jobs in the same field of work that require similar skills

  • ​CAREER PATHWAYS give you an organized way to pick classes and plan for a career in a certain field

AP or Dual Credit

COLLEGE CREDIT COURSES

  • Take at least 3 Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Credit (DC) courses

  • Must earn a C- average or above in those courses

  • ADVANCED PLACEMENT:  Take the class, take the AP test, score well, get free college credit to virtually any college

  • DUAL CREDIT:  Take the class, pass the class, get free college credit to specific colleges
