This shows you the options for meeting Indiana's third requirement in order to graduate.  You must meet ONE requirement from ANY of the categories listed below.

COURSE OF STUDY GUIDE

Courses By Year

COLLEGE CREDIT COURSES

  • Take at least 3 Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Credit (DC) courses

  • Must earn a C- average or above in those courses

  • ADVANCED PLACEMENT:  Take the class, take the AP test, score well, get free college credit to virtually any college

  • DUAL CREDIT:  Take the class, pass the class, get free college credit to specific colleges

Academic Honors

CORE 40 DIPLOMA WITH HONORS

  • Honors for doing well in academic courses

  • Complete all of these requirements:

    • Earn 2 additional math credits

      • Cannot be quantitative reasoning

      • High school math credits earned in middle school DO qualify

    • World languages (complete one of these options):

      • 3 years (6 credits) of one language

      • 4 years total (8 credits) of 2 different languages

        • 2 years (4 credits) of 1 language​

        • 2 years (4 credits) of another language

Technical Honors

MINIMUM TEST SCORES

  • Honors for doing well in career-related technical courses

  • Complete all these requirements:

    • Core 40 requirements​

    • Complete a pathway and earn one of these with it:​​

    • Earn a C- or above in all courses for your diploma​

    • Have a GPA of B- or above

    • Complete one of these options
